Had a fun time playing with ChatGPT. Started out just trying to test if ChatGPT can write in medieval English, but ended up making a whole story! It didn’t seem to be proper medieval English, but I was nevertheless impressed with its story writing.
I was quite impressed for the coherent details that ChatGPT were able to write out. I also had much fun, it’s like a game during which I didn’t really know how the story would develop – whilst I do have some control over the plot as seen by my prompts, I didn’t dictate the answers to my questions and just left them in the hands of ChatGPT.
For exmaple, the plot about the monk pacifying Satan was not what I had expected, and I was unconvinced by that at first. So I challenge ChatGPT to explain itself twice by asking how was the monk able to deal with Satan’s minions (who had beaten even God’s angels), and why was the monk able to pacify Satan when God was unable to. I was impressed with how ChatGPT was able to coherently defend its choice of plot each time.
All in all, the sense of suspence not knowing how ChatGPT would develop the plot was quite fun!
